Uncanny X-Men #5
"Trapped One X-Man"
Written by Stan Lee
Drawn by Jack Kirby
This is when the series actually clicks into longer stories, a bit of a change-up from the other books of it's day. The book's alright, with the Brotherhood still giving the X-Men trouble, even going so far as capturing Angel. The issue ends when Xavier reveals he was faking his loss of powers as their final exam... five issues in and they're getting their final exam? I have no idea what they're going to do to fill another three hundred plus issues.
My favorite moment of the book though is when Scarlet Witch says to Magneto, "You never told me that we would descend to murder!" Did she have to be told explicitly that it might come up? I figured when you join the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants that there would be a lot that you might be able to infer, like for instance that they would do evil deeds (and murder being plently evil).
