God. That Vanisher costume is God awful. I mean it. Truly awful. It's amazing to me that teleportation isn't a boring power but the Vanisher had always had a bad rep. To be honest, he comes off pretty well in this issue. He has some brain, has ambition. It takes Xavier himself to shut him down. Other than the costume there is no sign of the mediocrity that awaits him.

The issue continues to have the X-Men train, showing the extent of their powers and show that they are in fact still learning, that they aren't powerhouses, that they are still vulnerable. This issue also marks the first time that Xavier does more than parlor tricks, when he actually takes the field as it were.
